QSS Homewatch Services is a division of Quinte Security Systems that provides a service that checks primary and secondary homes, condos and townhouses for the purpose of making sure that everything is OK while you are away on a trip or if you are frequently absent from your home. We will inform you of any irregularities noted and, if needed, coordinate solutions as instructed.
Do I need to have someone check on my home while I’m away if I have smart home monitoring?
Smart home monitoring systems are becoming more popular today. These include doorbells that can tell you who’s on your front porch, cameras controlled by your iPhone or Android which allow you to see the perimeter and interior of your house. These systems are great! However, as far as your homeowner’s insurance policy is concerned, we recommend that you contact your broker to verify what your insurance company expects while you’re away for your policy to remain effective. Many insurance companies still require a regular physical check of the premises regardless of whether or not there is an alarm system installed.

Exterior House Check
QSS will check the exterior of your home for signs of vandalism as well as weather damage or visible leaks. We will monitor lawn-care and landscaping (maintained by others), pick up newspapers, flyers, garbage cans and any other things listed on your WHILE AWAY CHECK LIST.
Interior House Check
Regular interior house checks include checking all doors and windows for security, monitoring of all toilets, sinks, water heaters, furnaces, refrigerators and freezers, watering indoor plants, and checking for unnatural smells, rodent & insect presence and any other things listed on your WHILE AWAY CHECK LIST.
Concierge Services
Our Concierge Services are customized to suit your lifestyle while at home or away. We will arrange and oversee home repair and renovations, house cleaning services, grocery shopping and errand running. We will also arrange transportation to/from airport along with many other services.
